Video Game Sales #8 - Find The Vendor

2013 May 29th

A new Humble Bundle has arrived. If you are unaware, this is a website that every so often offers a bundle of games for sale. The cost? What ever you want to pay. If you pay more than the average which as of now is $5.68 USD you get additional goodies.

You get to decide how much goes to the Humble Bundle team, the developers of the games, and charity. The charities being supported are specified on the sales page.

All the games are DRM-free and you can download them as many times as you like.

If you pay over one dollar USD you get Steam Keys for all the games. They are individual keys that are not bundled. This means if you want to give your friend the game you can do that too.

The bundle comes with Little Inferno, Awesomenauts (along with a free Chicken costume for your characters), Capszied, Thomas Was Alone, Dear Esther and all their soundtracks for whatever price you choose. If you decide to pay more than the average price mentioned above, then you also unlock Hotline Miami and Protues (along with the Protues soundtrack).

More games and soundtracks are also revealed later on in the sale. If you paid over the average price you get the new unlocks as well.

All games are available on Windows, Linux, and Mac. The only issue for Linux is that Dear Esther seems not to be a native port and requires Wine. Which means it may not run ideally but they claim that no issues should be had. If any are met, please contact the Humble Bundle team and I'm sure they will be of some assistance.

All the soundtracks are available in MP3/ FLAC formats.

As of now the number of bundles sold is reaching 196,000!

Also as of writing this blog, 13 days and five hours remain for the sale!
